Emergency Release and Recovery System

This system includes a 17 inch glass sphere for the electronics housing, a remote transducer, and a remote mechanical release capable of handling 5500 kilogram loads. These systems are ideal for mounting on underwater vehicles, Bottom Frames and Tripods. In the event an umbilical to an ROV parts or an autonomous vehicle fails the system can be activated acoustically, dropping a weight and/or releasing the cable connection to allow the vehicle to return to the surface. This system also includes a transponder for relocating and tracking the vehicle during operations or recovery.
